Good lord, what is up with that goop. How does that even work? What is going on with the right arm? I can barely make out anything from what little this costume is featured in the movie.
I've always loved Dietlinde's design, but I don't entirely know how to feel about drawing her, for obvious reasons. I'm sure drawing Edward Elric in her villain outfit isn't rid of the gross association, at best it's just an excuse to draw the costume.
Anyway, drawing Ed's hair and eyes here was strangely fun. Maybe I should try exaggeration a little bit more.

This isn't a stretch at all, as Ed constantly encounters villains who, rather than being entirely unlike, is more like them than he thought. This is also the Edward who stains his hands with death, who has played God. Whereas we're invited to make this connection between Ed and Tucker, we're not invited to make this connection between Ed and Eckhart. And even though Ed has grown and become wise as a result of his tribulations, he needs to take care that he doesn't become his enemy, as the very condition of being human gives that potential for destruction and hate. So great drawing, great title to the drawing too : )
